If you’ve been following me on Facebook (and you should be!) then you’ve seen me mention that one of Phoenix’s premiere rockabilly acts, Voodoo Swing, it heading to Europe for a couple of months of touring. America’s loss over these two months is Europe’s gain! The band will be performing material off of their great Keep On Rollin’ CD from last year as well as new songs from their upcoming CD release.
To kick off the tour and give their fans a chance to say farewell, the boys are throwing a big shindig tomorrow night in Scottsdale (Arizona). In the spirit of really doing it up right and giving a great show, they’ve invited two of Arizona’s other top rockabilly acts to help with the big sendoff.
While Voodoo Swing kicks out high-powered, living-on-the-rockabilly-edge-of-psychobilly rock and roll, Pat Roberts and the Heymakers explore more of the country side of rockabilly. Check out their CD Lonesome and Blue for great tasteful guitar playing, smooth songwriting, and an all-around good time. Roberts and the band will be one of Voodoo Swing’s guests at tomorrow’s show.
The Moonlight Howlers are a vibrant, young family act that kicks out authentically unpredictable rockabilly. Their latest CD, Rocket to the Moon displays energy and creativity and is also a great listen. These kids are having fun with their music and it shows!
If you are in the Scottsdale area tomorrow night, you’d be down-right foolish to miss this show! Three great favorites in a show that offers something for every rockabilly fan!
The only bad thing I can think of to say about this show is that I can’t be there!

HANDS DOWN the coolest photo ever captured of Paul!
Yeah, it’s a great picture!
