Brian Setzer, Let’s Shake

UPDATE: Wow; that didn’t take long. No sooner had I posted this than the video I linked to was ripped down by YouTube for copyright violation. Sorry about that–I hope at least a few of you got to hear it!

In response to my last post about Brian Setzer’s new CD, loyal reader Ivan pointed out that the first single has been released from the record. “Let’s Shake” is a hard-rocking rollic delivered with traditional Setzer high-octane power. It sounds less like hardcore rockabilly than straight-ahead rock and roll, but it’s still a fun tune, and it certainly signals that this record is not about the swing stylings of the Setzer Orchestra so much as a return to Setzer’s rockin’ roots. It’s full of his inventive guitar licks, plenty of hard-stomping piano, and energy from beginning to end.

Enjoy “Let’s Shake!”

Like you said, hard rock rockabilly/r’n’r stuff with lots of great guitar licks and I love that piano in song 😀
