Carl Bradychok One of the New Young Rockabilly Vangaurd

I received a nice note today from a proud daddy whose son is one Carl Bradychok. Now, I hadn’t heard of Carl before today, but I have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot more about him in the future. Carl’s one of the young generation of musicians keeping rockabilly alive and ensuring it will thrive for years to come.

For the past five years or so, Carl’s been playing guitar for rockabilly legend Jack Scott. Now, keep in mind that Carl is only 21 years old or so. That means he was good enough to land a spot in the band of a living legend when he was just 16 years old!

But Bradychok has been mighty busy beyond helping out Scott. He also plays guitar for two other rockabilly/roots outfits: Billy Mack & the Juke Joint Johnnies and North of Memphis. And on top of all of that, Bradychok has been chosen to tour with the Original Elvis Tribute and heads to Finland in April to start touring.

Pretty heady stuff for a young guitar hero! His dad promises to “talk our ear off” if we’re interested and let him. What do you think? Should we let him? Oh yeah!

In the meantime, here’s a taste of Bradychok’s playing with Billy Mack & the Juke Joint Johnnies.
