A new Johnny Cash retrospective, Bootleg, Volume 2: From Memphis to Hollywood, gathers his recordings from the Sun rockabilly years through his first decade on Columbia. It combines all of this with various outtakes and radio appearances. I’ve only heard samples of it so far, but what I have heard so far (of course) sounds amazing. It includes two discs. The first is full of early Sun demos and releases as well as radio bits. The second covers the Columbia recordings into 1969. This looks like a must-have for Cash fans!
