This is so cool! I just received a package from Rydell’s Records in France. Rydell’s is doing some great stuff in the rockabilly world. You can read my reviews of a couple of their artists, Chris Almoada’s Come to New Orleans and The Obscuritone’s demo CD.
Well, I was excited to see what Rydell’s had sent me this time, but I didn’t expect this! Two singles–one by Emer Hackett and the other another recording from The Obscuritones–both on 45 rpm vinyl! This is the first vinyl I’ve received for review and it made me feel almost giddy to touch real records again!
The only problem is, I’m going to have to dig the ol’ turntable out again and grease the gears. I think this is very cool. Thanks Rydell’s Records!
Reviews of these two singles will definitely follow!
