New England’s Only Rockabilly Weekender

A new rockabilly weekender is in the works for New England in the fall of 2013. The New England Shake-Up! will be the only rockabilly weekender in New England and organizers are working hard to make sure that it’s a good one.

In their own words from their website,

“Three Rockin’ days of Bands! Record Hops! Vendors! Car Show! Indoor Pool Party! And More! All taking place at the lovely Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbridge, Massachusetts on September 27, 28 and 29th, 2013. New England in the Fall, with your friends and live music… What a great weekend!”

It does sound like a fun time and if you’re in the area, it’d be great if you can support it so that we can make it a successful maiden year and keep it going as a new tradition. They’ve already booked a great-sounding lineup of bands including acts from the Northeast (of course), as well as bands from various corners of the US, and at least one European band.

September seems like a long way off at this point (especially in the middle of February here in Wisconsin!), but it’s not too early to start making plans for the event. Click on over to the website for more details and start figuring out how you’re going to get there! If you have questions, drop Beck a line: Beck(at)NewEnglandShakeUp(dot)com.
